JACKSONVILLE EQUESTRIAN CENTER EMERGENCY EVACUATION POLICY


The Jacksonville Equestrian Center will accept horses as a service to the equine industry. The Jacksonville Equestrian center reserves the right to evacuate and/or vacate the grounds.

Reservations will be taken by phone with a credit card on a first-come first-served basis. If it is determined that the Jacksonville Equestrian Center will accept horses, the first day stall fee will automatically be charged for the number of stalls reserved.

Cancellations of reservations must be received 6 hours prior to arrival date. If cancellation notice is not received, customer will be billed for stalls reserved for first nights fee and stall reservation will be cancelled.

The Jacksonville Equestrian Center will charge the normal fee of $20 for two nights per stall (minimum fee) and $10 each additional night per stall (check out time is 10:00am). Only one horse will be allowed per stall unless approved by the Facility Manager. Stalls will be assigned by the Facility. Stall assignments MUST be adhered to or owners will be asked to move animals and will be charged double fees. Feed/tack stalls will be at the discretion of the Facility.

Shavings can be purchased at Jacksonville Equestrian Center's prevailing rates and will be charged to the customer's credit card (two bags of initial bedding are required). RV/campground fees will also be charged directly to the credit card on file. 30 amp $25/nite, 50 amp $35/nite. Full hookups available

Owners are responsible for the care and custody of their own animals. It is also the owner's responsibility to have hay and feed. It is important that owners prepare for the loss of power and/or water and have reserves.

No riding will be allowed. Hand walking or lunging will be allowed in outdoor rings ONLY. Owner will be responsible for placing manure in designated areas and stripping all stalls upon departure. A $15 stall cleaning fee will be charged to credit card if stalls are not stripped upon departure .

A release form will be required from each person upon arrival at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. This form will be faxed upon receipt of the reservations and MUST be presented upon arrival. Security will NOT allow entry onto the grounds without a signed release form.

No Exceptions! All horses must show current negative Coggins for entry onto the Facility.

Please note: The Jacksonville Equestrian Center will close during the critical phase of a emergency at the discretion of the Executive Director and no staff will be on the grounds. The Jacksonville Equestrian Center does not provide veterinarian services. Individual owners are responsible for obtaining vet services if needed.

In House Notes: If horses arrive after the Jacksonville Equestrian Center staff have left the property, security will have a release signed and credit card information form completed before admitting people/horses onto the Jacksonville Equestrian Center grounds. Late arrivals will be instructed to find an empty stall and unload their horses.

COMING INTO FLORIDA FROM THE NORTH:
Take 95 SOUTH to 295 SOUTH, 14.5 miles to Interstate 10 WEST, 4.8 miles to the Chaffee Road Exit # 351. Turn right off the ramp, go 3 miles and turn right on Normandy Blvd. (State Road 228). The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is located 4.3 miles on the right hand side of Normandy Blvd.

COMING NORTH FROM SOUTH FLORIDA :
Take 95 NORTH, 77.2 miles to 295 NORTH, 15.6 miles to the 103 rd . Street (State Road 134) Exit 16. Turn left off the ramp, go 7.8 miles and bear left onto Normandy Blvd. (State Road 228). The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is 0.5 miles on the right hand side of Normandy Blvd.

COMING INTO FLORIDA FROM THE WEST:
Take Interstate 10 EAST to the Chaffee Road Exit # 351. Turn left off the ramp, go 3 miles and turn right on Normandy Blvd. (State Road 228). The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is located 4.3 miles on the right hand side of Normandy Blvd.

COMING FROM THE OCALA AREA:
Take US 27 NORTH, 0.5 miles to US 301. Keep straight onto US 301, 22.5 miles. Turn right onto US 301 NORTH, 51.3 miles, turn right onto Normandy Blvd. (State Road 228). The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is located 6.6 miles on the left hand side of Normandy Blvd.

COMING SOUTH ON US 301 INTO FLORDA:
10.8 miles to Callahan, Fl. and turn right on US 301 SOUTH to Baldwin , Fl., 20 miles, and turn right to stay on US 301 SOUTH. Go 1 mile and turn left to stay on US 301 SOUTH. Go 6.4 miles and turn left onto Normandy Blvd. (State Road 228). The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is located 7.3 miles on the left hand side of Normandy Blvd.
